budgeting

In the year of 2009 it was very difficult for everybody when the economy went down. There are many people who lost their job including my hubby. I was pregnant at the time as well and I had to take maternity leave after I gave birth. We have to budget our finances to be able to survive. We couldn’t afford anymore to pay our mortgage so we have to give up our first house that we bought after five years at that time. The house was a lot bigger compare to where we are right now. It was too much for us and the bills was piling up. We have to give up one car as well. Actually we had to give up a lot of things like cable TV, features of the telephone calls like call answer, call display and that entire extra bill you know. We had to lower the value of our groceries. We don’t even eat outside anymore and no more theater. From that experience we learned how to do a budget worksheet where we can tally our expenses and tracking down all the money that goes out and goes in.
We are now living in a smaller condo townhouse and everything is okay for us. We have a lot of help from family and friends. We are very thankful for that! And now we continue to budget our expenses by spending less than we can afford. I learned how to use natural products which is less expensive. I have to make my own cleaning stuff out of the products that I already have at home like vinegar and baking soda. We don’t go out and eat outside unless it’s a very special occasion but I still prefer cooking at home. Anyway that’s all I can share for now.
