Cargill exporting beef to Russia

Posted By on February 21, 2011

I read in the paper last week about beef from Guelph plant heading to Russia. Wow! That would be a long way to deliver the goods. Well anything is possible. Cargill Meat Solutions here in Guelph apparently have given a privilege to ship beef to Russia. They will be exporting bone in beef from cattle under 30 months of age and boneless beef from cattle over 30 months of age. I heard that Cargill is the second largest beef processor in North America so who is the first?
