Hubby came that weekend to my apartment and we made plans to go somewhere. We hadn’t yet decided where exactly but we talked about a place that has a falls. It was March 05, 2000 by the way. We were just hanging out when something fell on the floor. We both got down on the floor to pick it up. Suddenly, we found ourselves looking at each other. It was magical…intense. He never looked at me like that before. He kissed me and asked, “Will you marry me? “ I said, “Yes” I was smiling but at the same time nervous and he was so serious. I was smiling because I thought he was joking. I kept asking him “Are you sure?” and he kept repeating ‘Will you marry me?” I knew then that he was not joking. I could see it in his face. He was so excited and so was I. We never did get to our plan that day instead we went to a restaurant in Kitchener called Martinis at Steakhouse to celebrate. Later, we went to looked at some engagement rings. He found a ring that I liked it’s a diamond trinity with heart in each side and also with matching wedding band.

On March 11, Brad picked up the ring and we went to the Canadian Legion (This is the place where Brad asked me out for a real date) and there he gave me the engagement ring. We were both so excited -Hubby ran to Hamilton and told his parents and everybody at work. I tried calling my friends on the telephone but no one was home . So I left a message. “hey! Guys I have something to tell you! Guess what” when they called back they had all guessed that I was getting married. I had known Hubby by then about 9 years. Our relationship wasn’t perfect but we have good memories to tell. We have had ups and downs but with God on our side we were able to overcome all the difficulties and hindrances in our lives. One thing I’m very proud of is that Brad believes in God and he can dance. We are now a Happily married couple.

Our Engagement Day
Agring and Brad
March 11

Love is patient. Love is kind
It is not jealous,
It does not rejoice over wrong doing
But rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things,
Believes all things, Hopes all things,
Love never fails…

Sky Watch Friday
Sunrise is the instant at which the upper edge of the Sun appears above the horizon in the east. Sunrise should not be confused with dawn, which is the (variously defined) point at which the sky begins to lighten, some time before the sun itself appears, ending twilight. Because atmospheric refraction causes the sun to be seen while it is still below the horizon, both sunrise and sunset are, from one point of view, optical illusions. The sun also appears larger on the horizon, but this is another optical illusion, similar to the moon illusion.

The apparent westward revolution of Sun around the earth after rising out of the horizon is due to the Earth’s eastward rotation, a counter-clockwise revolution when viewed from above the North Pole. This illusion is so convincing that most cultures had mythologies and religions built around the geocentric model. This same effect can be seen with near-polar satellites as well.

As sunrise and sunset are calculated from the leading and trailing edges of the Sun, and not the center; this slightly increases the duration of “day” relative to “night“. The sunrise equation, however, is based on the center of the sun.

The timing of sunrise varies with the time of year and the latitude of the location from which it is viewed. The precise time of day also varies in local time within a given time zone, determined by each location’s precise longitude. Changes in timing of sunrise are driven by the axial tilt of Earth and the planet’s movement in its annual orbit around the sun. Some apparent anomalies exist however. In the Northern Hemisphere, the latest sunrise does not occur on the winter solstice around December 21, but rather in early January. Likewise, the earliest sunrise does not fall on the summer solstice around June 21, but occurs earlier in June in the Northern Hemisphere. As one travels farther from the equator, the times of sunrise and sunset change throughout the year. Even on the equator, sunrise and sunset shift several minutes back and forth through the year, along with solar noon. These effects are plotted using an analemma.

Due to Earth’s axial tilt, whenever and wherever sunrise occurs, it is always in the northeast quadrant from the March equinox to the September equinox and in the southeast quadrant from the September equinox to the March equinox. Sunrises occur precisely due east on the March and September equinoxes for all viewers on Earth. The sunrise and sunset times for a 12 hr day and 12 hr night do not fall on the “equinox” (equal night), since the timing of sunrises and sunsets, and hence, the lengths of day and night vary with each viewer’s particular latitude.

Source

The sunrise was looked like these on the day of November 04 here in Guelph. I took these shots around 8:22 am in the morning just outside my home. What so you think? Thanks for looking and have a great weekend everyone!

I
came to Canada in the year of 1990 on the 10th of November, the day
after my birthday. I met Brad on May 05, 1991 on the way to a Christian
Conference in New Market Ontario. We became friends and we liked to
meet in a coffee shop and talk about our lives. We also attended the
same Church. It used to be Guelph Community Church (a non-denomination
Org.)

On June 26, 1993 at the wedding of our friends Mary
and Tim he surprised me by asking me to go out for a walk. We walked
down the parking lot and we sat down on the bench outside the Canadian
Legion where the wedding was. He surprised me again by asking me on a real date and so that was the beginning of our romance.

On
July 01 we went on our first official date. Brad took me South to Lake
Erie ending up at Long Point Beach. We strolled along the shore. He
stole a kiss on my cheek and said “That’s from Jim” “Cute”.
