My husband and I have used all kinds of software on our laptops and desktops over the years, from desktop publishing software, image manipulation software to html editing software. But maybe the most intriguing piece of software is one that my husband used to use more regularly – a remote desktop viewing program. This program would allow my husband to view and even take control of a computer of a colleague or student anywhere in the world in seconds. It provided an amazing level of instruction to his students at times when something was too difficult to explain in words. Instead, he could show his students exactly what he meant and get the task done in a lot less time.

There is a similar piece of software called Employee Monitoring Software that gives employers the same level of control and supervision that my husband achieved using his program. With the increasing ability of companies to let their employees take their work home with them or even to work entirely from home, the job of an employer or supervisor has become a little more challenging to say the least. How are they going to keep track of an employees work and productivity from miles away – from where they can’t even see their employees?

This is a problem that might have seemed insurmountable for a time, but with the kind of technology that we’re talking about – the Employee Monitoring Software – it has become a piece of cake. Employers can simply log on to the software and begin supervising their employees almost as if their employees had never left the room.

I don’t know where this technology or Employee Monitoring Software is ultimately going to land us. But with the increasing trend for employers and employees to take their work home with them and even take their job home with them there had to be a way to give the boss a level of control that might never appeared without the level of sophistication in this software.

Ottawa is the capital of Canada and it’s very well known for Tulip festival during spring. I believe it’s first week of May. I would love to go there even just for the weekend. But I’m very busy at work so I guess I have to plan this kind of events. Perhaps next year would be a good idea. Although I still have time to plan for next two weeks. I believe the festival will last for at least two weeks. We can take the bus but I’m not sure if it’s good idea for my kids to tag along.

The online world is filled with opportunities, information, and games that would have been impossible even just 10 years ago. For example, you can open your laptop or tablet and visit a newspaper published in Hong Kong in seconds. Or you can watch a football game in Australia in real time through the “magic” of the internet on that same computer. It’s a wonderful world that has appeared in these last ten years or so.

There are also greater opportunities to try your luck in the exciting world of online games. Again, there was a time, when you could only enjoy these types of games by getting in your car, driving hundreds of miles and spending unnecessary amounts on gas and food and lodging. Now it’s as easy – and cheap – as clicking your mouse on a website.

What’s even more amazing is that I don’t even have to tell you anymore about it than to type: Visit now and you are instantly on your way to discovering what I’m talking about without any further delay (and reading these words). So if you’re up for some excitement beyond just the everyday news and stories that you’re reading on Facebook, then check it out!
